What is an .fla?

A .fla is an editable project file created with Adobe Animate. It contains everything for an animation project, like drawings, symbols, sounds, timelines, and ActionScript code. These files are meant for editing and can be exported as finished animations in formats like .swf or video. .fla files from newer Animate versions might not open properly in older programs like Macromedia Flash 8.

NOTE: The following .fla files were made with Adobe Animate 2023 and 2024. Some of them use the built-in camera tool, which may not display properly, but can still work on versions older than Adobe Animate CC 2017. ALL of the animations were made with ActionScript 3.0, which versions older than Macromedia Flash 8 don't support and cant play.
